Official guidance
Recording device requirements
HomeGroundAssist accepts uploads from any device that can produce a clear audio recording. The goal is simple: capture the session clearly enough for the AI to understand the conversation, instructions, and context.
Approved options
Use whichever recording setup is easiest for you on the day.
- A smartphone
- A clip-on or lapel microphone
- A handheld recorder or similar audio device
- Any other device that saves a standard audio file
What to aim for
Clear audio helps us return better reports.
- Place the microphone close enough to the speaker
- Avoid heavy background noise where possible
- Save the file in a supported format such as MP3, WAV, or M4A
- Keep the recording steady and continuous when you can
Before you upload
Check the file briefly before sending it to the site.
- Confirm the recording starts and ends correctly
- Make sure the file opens on your device
- Use one complete recording per session when possible
What happens next
Once uploaded, the file is processed and turned into reports for coaching use.
- The upload is sent through your secure account
- The system analyzes the audio and session context
- Your reports are prepared for download in the app
If you are unsure whether a device is suitable, a phone or simple clip-on microphone is usually enough for a clear session recording. The main requirement is that the audio is understandable.
